Rhett update!

We just did Rhetts 3 month pictures and until I get them back I just wanted to catch everyone up with some pictures!!! He has changed so much!!

One year anniversary!!!

Well July 20th was our first anniversary as husband and wife! It was an uneventful Sunday but I was able to spend it with my two favorite men!! :) We watched our Wedding Storytellers video from our wedding! We did not however eat some of our cake that was saved because Weston didn't want to. He's such a party pooper! Lol It wasn't a big party or event, but I was just so blessed to be with my Husband and son! Not many are able to share their first anniversary with their children :) One year down forever to go! I love you Weston Rodehorst!

Rhett Jay Rodehorst

I haven't been on here since I was pregnant, but on June 28th at 2:36am we were blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby boy! We named him Rhett Jay! He weighed a big 9 pounds 14 ounces (yikes) and 21 &1/4 inches! I had to have an emergency cesearn because he would not come our regardless of the 4 hours I pushed! I was very upset to be having a cesearn. Not because they are worse, but it just wasn't what I had in mind for my birthing experience😕 Afterwards I was fine because the only thing that mattered was that my baby was healthy! I never imagined that my first child would be 2 ounces away from 10 pounds! We are so truly blessed and have God to thank for everything! God is Good!! Unfortunately, I had a bad infection after having Rhett so I was in the hospital for two weeks after he was born on IV antibiotics. It was a really emotional and very hard time for me. I was excited about being a new mom, but it was hard to be stuck in the hospital alone with my son. My husband had to go home and work so I was alone a lot 😕. The only good thing was by the time I went home my incision pain was all gone haha!

40 weeks 

Graduation!!!

Last May I finally did it! I have passed nursing school!! I graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with my Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing. Now all I have to do is pass my nursing state boards so I can practice as a Nurse! I'm very nervous because I took the test first time in July and didn't pass. And now I really need to pass because financially we need me to work and I have a job in the OR just waiting for me! It's my dream job! I can't let it slip away from me. I have been studying hard and hopefully with Gods help I will pass, because I believe that is something he has planned for me to do. I can't wait to start my career as a nurse!!

Husker Game Day! 🌽

It's a lazy Saturday at the Rodehorst household...not! Lol I am watching my niece Soohia this morning and she is always 100% on the go!! She pushes everyone of my buttons, but I couldn't live without her! She adores my son Rhett and that makes me so happy! I will be happy and sad when she goes home!
